Job DescriptionSenior Quality Engineer Job Title: Quality Engineer – Cable AssemblyLocation: Wallingford, CTSummaryThis position is instrumental in introducing and assisting manufacturing and quality management in implementing processes improvements using the appropriate tools to drive positive change within the company culture and deliver tangible results, through reduction of scrap, process improvements, or process redesign.This position requires a “hands on” approach and requires the ability to assimilate and analyze quality metrics, develop improvement strategies and, in partnership with the organization, lead the implementation of quality and process improvements.The cable assembly quality engineer will address quality issues on the production floor. Activities will include: root cause analysis, product containment, first article inspections and any other action that protects the integrity of our products and services. This position will work closely with assembly operators, electrical testers, manufacturing engineering, and shift supervisors. In addition to problem solving activities for quality, this position will be supporting continuous improvement activities focusing on reducing COPQ.
