Configurations Engineer Grand Rapids, MI
The Configurations Engineer is responsible to generate BOMs, BOM change notices and help control customer TDPs (Technical Data Packages).Essential Duties and Responsibilities· Coordinates and generates of Bills of Material (BOM) from customer supplied parts list and print packages on solicitations and jobs(work orders)· Manages and controls organized filing system for all print packages, properly stores and archives all electronic documents on network server· Prioritizes and incorporates customer(both internal and external) changes related BOM change requests· Monitors and initiates the BOM change notification processing· Manage and maintain catalog index of purchased external specifications· Fulfills requests related to document distribution· Any other task assigned by supervisorJob Requirements· Bachelor’s degree in mechanical design Engineering, business, manufacturing technology, accounting or IS, preferred· Minimum 2 years of experience reading and interpreting engineering documents and drawings· Ability to utilize rule-based logic to convert parts lists to BOMs· Strong mathematical skills· Strong analytical skills· Strong attention to detail· Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel· Ability to determine priorities and provide direction to fellow team members· Excellent organizational and planning skills
Systems Help Desk Technician Grand Rapids, MI
The Systems Help Desk Technician monitors and maintains incoming end-user support related tickets working directly with requesters across all ABT facilities to troubleshoot and problem-solve system related issues. The Systems Help Desk Technician works closely with and supports the Senior System Analysts.Essential Duties and Responsibilities Manages the help desk ticket system. Promptly prioritizes and assigns tasks to self or other team members using the ticket system. Analyzes business application requirements and user specifications Front-line support for the FilePro team to manage requests related to data changes, error corrections, report modifications, etc. Investigates and follows up on select Information System Requests (ISRs) to more fully explore options and issues. Prepares programs and specifications of a technical nature Ensures that application development aligns with ISRs and minimizes scope creep. Encodes, tests, debugs and documents programs. Revises and updates programs and documentation as required. Assists other Programmer/Analyst team members with applications and/or technical issues. Performs any other task as requested by Manager.Job Requirements High school diploma or GED, required. Bachelor’s Degree in IT, Finance, Accounting or related field, preferred 2 years’ experience in applications and programming, preferred Proficiency with ERP/MRP Systems and other Database programs 2 years FilePro experience, strongly preferred Knowledge of computer networking systems, hardware and equipment Knowledge of network concepts and principles including operating systems, technologies, security, IP, advanced protocol and ERP Systems Experience in a manufacturing environment, preferred Strong written and verbal communication skills Demonstrated analytical ability Excellent problem-solving skills
